Trust the Process: The Tenth Step in Becoming

“To live in the unfolding is to make peace with the mystery.”

- Anonymous

June slides in quietly, warm and shimmering, like sunlight on water. The pace slows. The heat deepens. And with it, a soft but insistent invitation arises:

Let go. Let be. Let flow.

We’ve spent months cracking open, blooming, and dancing forward. Now we pause and learn to trust. Because sometimes growth isn’t about doing anything - it’s about learning to stay soft even when you can’t see the full picture yet.

Why We Trust the Process

There’s a moment in every journey where you can’t quite see where you’re going - where the next step feels murky, and the urge to control creeps in. But becoming isn’t a checklist. It isn’t tidy. It doesn’t always make sense while it’s happening. It’s a river, not a staircase.

We’ve both found ourselves here before - trying to force clarity, only to find that the real insight arrived only after we stopped pushing. What looked like stillness was actually integration. What felt like delay was actually transformation.

In this season, we remind ourselves (and you):

🌊 The process is not the enemy.

🌊 Uncertainty is not failure.

🌊 Pausing is not the same as stopping.

Even when the path is unclear, the becoming continues.

Grounding Practice: Flow Meditation

You don’t have to figure everything out right now. But you can practice flowing.

🌙 What You’ll Need:

  • A glass or bowl of water

  • A comfortable seat

  • Optional: a soft soundscape or instrumental playlist

🌙 Steps:

  1. Sit somewhere peaceful. Set the bowl or glass of water in front of you.

  2. Close your eyes and imagine a stream winding through a forest. Picture the water moving around stones...never blocked, just rerouted.

  3. Breathe deeply and say (aloud or silently):“Like the water, I trust the path unfolding.”

  4. Dip your fingertips in the water and touch your forehead, heart, and hands. Let it anchor you in the moment.

  5. When you feel complete, thank the water and pour it into the earth.

We’ve had so many times when we thought we were “stuck,” only to realize that giving ourselves space to step away made all the difference. Whether it’s scent formulation, packaging ideas, or big-picture strategy, our best insights often show up in the pause.

Journal Prompts

📓 For reflection this month:

  • Where in my life am I trying to force clarity too soon?

  • What would it feel like to let go of the outcome and simply trust the next right step?

  • When have I been surprised by how things turned out better than I planned?

Scent Pairings for June

Bring flow into your space with these grounding, watery, and gently expansive oils:

💧 Bergamot & Cypress - bright, fresh, and emotionally balancing

🌿 Rosemary & Basil - clarifying and awakening

🕯️ Neroli & Sandalwood - floral serenity and soft rootedness

Mist your space or roll onto your pulse points before journaling, meditating, or daydreaming.

This month, let go of the grip. Let the current carry you. Trust that even in the stillness, you are becoming.

The river knows the way. So do you.
